FlowFrac 1000™ and Peltier Plus
X-Y-Z fraction collector with cooling functions as a Seg-Flow option
The FlowFrac 1000™ sample collection station serves as an optional accessory to the Seg-Flow automatic sampling system for accurate, safe filling of sample liquid into a sample vial. Cooling takes place via the Peltier Plus unit or alternatively via a water cooling plate. There is space for two racks for sample vials: for microtiter plates, HPLC or centrifuge tubes.

FlowFrac 1000™ and Peltier Plus
The FlowFrac™ 1000 is a fraction collector with a robot arm operating 3-dimensional. This unique sample collector is offering automated sampling into non-septum and septum sealed vials, and is compatible with various vial or plate types and sizes. The FlowFrac™ 1000 is controlled by the Seg-Flow™ automated sampling system and cannot operate without this system. There are two options for sample cooling: the Peltier-Plus™ system or the cooling water plate. The Peltier-Plus™ cooling can reach temperatures as low as -10 °C for one rack and -2 °C for two racks.
The alternative cooling water plate needs to be connected to a separate chiller (not included in the delivery). Different types of removable racks are available for commonly used sample vials: e.g. for 96-well plates (up to 4 plates), for centrifuge tubes accommodating different volumes (5, 15 and 50 mL tubes) and for 2 mL HPLC vials (60 positions). The device has a small footprint, is robust, budget-friendly and has an open design that allows easy access for a laboratory robot hand to load and remove 96-well plates.
