InvivO₂® 400 Physoxia Workstation
Physoxic and Hypoxic Atmosphere Workchamber and Hood
The InvivO₂® 400 workbench has a precise control over O₂, CO₂, temperature and humidity. It provides physiological culture conditions for cells of all types in the low oxygen range in a predefined atmosphere. It is both: an incubator and a sterile workbench of the latest design with new oxygen measurement technology.
- O₂ from 0.1% to 23% in 0.1% increments
- CO₂ from 0.1% to 30% in 0.1% increments
- Temperature up to 45 °C in 0.1 °C increments; optional cooling system
- Humidity control via Aquasorb packs or ultrasonic nebulizer
- Quick direct hands-in access through Ezee Sleeve™ system
- Fastest interlock cycle (to 0% oxygen in 60 sec)
- Hypoxic Oxygen Conditions
- Incubation

InvivO₂® 400 – Physoxia Workstation
The InvivO₂® 400 is a compact, sterile workbench for cell cultivation under low O₂ conditions, which also serves as an incubator. With a working volume of 236 L, it is suitable for cell culture laboratories that want to work with up to 400 well plates. Furthermore, the InvivO₂ 400 can be extended with numerous options, e.g. the water humidifier for high humidity, the retrofitting of a second sub-bench to the InvivO₂ Dual or the use of no devices with cable/tube penetration through the side wall.
The internal HEPA filter and the joint-free interior chamber ensure hygienic conditions even at high humidity. The front panel can be quickly removed (in <10 s) and the workbench can be efficiently disinfected and cleaned.
The durable optical O₂ sensor can be calibrated in a user-friendly with one-button touch. The programming of up to 4 different O₂/CO₂ cycles allows a modular setup even for complex experiments. The arm ports are used to attach cuffs for comfortable working in the bench with disposable gloves. The InvivO₂® 400 has a smaller interlock than the InvivO₂® 500.
