Neogen® Sponge Stick – Sampling sponge
The Neogen® (previously: 3M™) Sponge Sticks allow samples to be taken according to ISO 18593 and ISO 17604 without touching the inside of the bag, thus maintaining sample integrity. The stick also makes it easier to access hard-to-reach areas and sample without touching the sponge directly, making it easy to reach drains, pipes, and the surrounding surfaces of equipment. As a dry sponge (SSL100), this product meets the requirements for use in dry environments. Sponge sticks are also available pre-buffered in Neutralization Buffer (SSL10NB), Peptone Water Bouillon (SSL10BPW) or Letheen Bouillon (SSL10LET). The cellulose material is highly absorbent and can absorb and release the sample without dripping.
The rod to which the sponge is attached is equipped with a printed Neogen® sample bag in which it can be stored after sampling for safe and convenient transport to the laboratory. The bags are decontaminated by gamma irradiation to ensure aseptic conditions. This product is certified to the ISO 9001:2008 quality assurance standard.
