Osmo1® – Osmometer
The Osmo1® can test virtually any biological fluid including, but not limited to, serum, whole blood, plasma, urine, feces, sweat, and tissue homogenate. The method of freezing point depression offers highest precision and reliability and thus serves to optimize your patient sample testing. With a sample volume of only 20 µl, the osmolality can be determined within 90 seconds in direct sampling. The integrated barcode scanner simplifies sample identification.
The Osmo1™ can choose between a 2- or 3-point calibration (50, 850 and 2000 mOsm/kg H₂O) and communicates via Ethernet, USB ports or exports the data via an integrated printer. The system is factory calibrated and ready for testing. The Osmo1™ only needs to be recalibrated if quality control is out of specification or after maintenance. Secure data management provides the ability to link password-protected user accounts to both sample and user IDs and test results.
